Akhila's project aims to utilize the latest chemical libraries from the Medicines for Malaria Venture (MMV) to identify and mechanistically characterize novel small molecules against Malaria. Her work involves a spectrum of phenotype-based screening approaches to identify molecules with stage- specific potency which are being investigated for mode of action through proteomic and chemical biology approaches.
